This hospital door is a hollow metal steel door set supplied as a standard pair of two equal width leaves in one matched pressed steel frame, designed for out patient and emergency department areas as well as public circulation zones in healthcare buildings. It is fire rated from 20 minutes up to 3 hours, conforming to or exceeding SDI/HMMA industrial standards and fire tested and certified with UL and Intertek/Warnock Hersey, complying with UL 10(b), UL 10(c) and NFPA 252. Each leaf carries one tall narrow vertical vision lite set in a slim dark grey glazing bead, and the same doorset can also be supplied fully solid. At the foot of every leaf there is a brushed stainless steel kick plate for protection against trolleys and footwear, with a 10 inch ADA bottom rail directly above it, and the leaf face can also be supplied with the six panel embossed pattern to meet ADA compliant requirements. Each leaf carries a long vertical stainless steel pull handle, the active leaf additionally carries a keyed cylinder, and the inactive leaf is held top and bottom by mortise flush bolts concealed inside the leaf so that its face stays clean. The door closes onto a precise sealing structure with a high quality sealing strip set into the frame stop, giving excellent sound insulation for patient and consultation rooms, while the sturdy nylon lock latch allows the door to operate quietly under continuous daily traffic. Standard construction includes 18 and 20 gauge steel door skins, a 16 gauge flush top channel, a 16 gauge inverted bottom channel, a standard seamless edge, a 20 gauge dust cover, 7 gauge hinge reinforcement, 12 gauge closer reinforcement and 14 gauge lock reinforcement, on a 1 3/4 inch standard leaf thickness, finished in a rust inhibitive prime coat to ANSI/SDI 250.10 with plenty of optional colours available. It is available with an equal cylinder key system so that one key operates all the doors, and with steel stud or wire masonry fixings.
